India’s Youth Celebrate Unity at LPU’s “One India 2025”

Lovely Professional University (LPU), located in Jalandhar, Punjab, has once again transformed its vast campus into netent casinos a vibrant celebration of India’s diversity through its annual cultural festival, “One India 2025.” The event, inaugurated by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, carried the theme “Gatha-e-Bharat: Narratives of Monuments and History.” This year’s edition brought together students from every corner of the country to celebrate India’s shared heritage through art, dance, and storytelling.

Over 30,000 students representing all 28 states and 8 Union Territories participated, each showcasing the architecture, monuments, and folk traditions unique to their regions. The campus came alive with colorful parades, traditional performances, and exhibitions depicting stories behind India’s most iconic landmarks — from the grandeur of the Konark Sun Temple to the timeless beauty of the Taj Mahal. Every corner of the university resonated with the sounds of drums, songs, and the energy of students wearing traditional attire that reflected the unity in India’s diversity.

In his address, LPU Chancellor and Member of Parliament Ashok Kumar Mittal emphasized that such events are crucial in nurturing the spirit of inclusivity and pride among young Indians. He also announced awards recognizing the university’s Paralympic champions who brought glory to the nation at the Paris 2024 Games. Gold and bronze medalists were honored with prize money totaling ₹42 lakh, a gesture that highlighted LPU’s commitment to celebrating excellence in both academics and athletics.

Beyond the cultural displays, “One India 2025” served as a reflection of the university’s belief in education that unites — not just through books, but through empathy, dialogue, and shared experience. For many students, the festival wasn’t just about performing; it was about rediscovering what it means to belong to a country as richly layered and diverse as India.
